What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Attorney position at Scolnick Law?
Scolnick Law is seeking an associate attorney for our growing law firm in New York City. The applicant should have experience in at least one of the following areas of practice, including real estate law, landlord-tenant law, or commercial litigation.
Must be comfortable with handling in-person court appearances and drafting motions, memoranda, and settlement agreements. If you have no court appearance experience, you must be eager to learn on the job.
Must be in-office full-time and display interest and motivation to learn and grow with our office. Pay commensurate with experience.
Qualifications:
- Interest in law with a focus on real estate and related practice areas
- Strong research skills, including proficiency in LexisNexis and Westlaw
- Excellent legal writing and drafting abilities
- Negotiation and litigation experience preferred
- Legal filing experience is a plus
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the New York bar
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
