Technical Sales Manager (Individual Contributor) – Aerospace & Defense
📍 Greater Seattle Area | On-Site | Travel
Our client is a growing aerospace and defense technology company that partners with leading manufacturers to deliver specialized products and solutions to OEM, defense, government, and aviation customers worldwide. They are seeking a Technical Sales Manager to drive revenue growth, develop strategic customer relationships, and expand business within key aerospace and defense markets.
This is a high-impact individual contributor role for a consultative sales professional who can identify opportunities, build trusted customer relationships, and work closely with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Drive revenue growth by promoting and selling highly engineered aerospace and defense products and solutions.
• Develop, manage, and maintain a strong sales pipeline.
• Build and expand relationships with aerospace OEMs, defense contractors, government agencies, airlines, and MRO organizations.
• Identify emerging customer needs and uncover new business opportunities.
• Partner with technical experts to recommend products and solutions that meet customer requirements.
• Lead commercial negotiations and secure new business agreements.
• Monitor industry trends, market activity, and competitive developments.
• Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
• Occasional travel, including occasional international travel.
Qualifications
• Proven success in technical sales, business development, account management, or strategic sales within aerospace, defense, aviation, electronics, test & measurement, avionics, sensors, communications, or other engineered technology markets.
• Experience selling to aerospace OEMs, defense contractors, military programs, government agencies, airlines, or MRO customers.
• Strong ability to engage both technical and executive-level decision makers.
• Demonstrated success developing new business and growing customer relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage a territory effectively.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
