Manufacturing Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the production team to hit goals in safety, quality, delivery, and cost
• Drive process improvement and best-practice manufacturing methods
• Keep employees informed on key business and customer issues
• Oversee production planning and manufacturing, working closely with Planning, Supply Chain, Quality, and Operations
• Own labor standards, quality, and delivery commitments
• Ensure the team follows both customer and regulatory policies
• Champion Lean practices, own visual metrics, and build a lasting Lean culture
• Hire, train, and develop team members; provide ongoing leadership
• Organize staffing and roles to meet business needs
• Coach and support employees on performance and career growth

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Operations or related field preferred (relevant experience can substitute)
• At least 5 years in medical device manufacturing (FDA QMSR, ISO 13485), 10 preferred
• Proven experience managing medical device production
• Able to drive process and manage resources across a matrixed organization
• Comfortable presenting to customers
• Strong Lean, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Familiar with manufacturing management disciplines (production/inventory control, standard costing)
• Strong communication and leadership skills

Highly preferred:

• Class III implantable device experience a plus
• IQMS ERP experience a plus
• 10–15 years in complex electromechanical manufacturing preferred
• Cleanroom and open manufacturing experience a plus
