- Work on meaningful projects that directly impact educational equity and social good
- Collaborate across teams to develop and refine the technical roadmap, aligning product evolution with organizational goals
- Develop and execute technical roadmaps aligned with organizational goals and product strategy
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects, balancing feature development, technical debt, and platform stability
- Manage multiple workstreams, prioritize effectively, and facilitate agile practices suited to the team
- Review technical designs, troubleshoot blockers, and mitigate risks related to dependencies and scalability
- Define requirements, ensure quality standards, and embed security, privacy, and accessibility (FERPA, WCAG) from project inception
- Maintain clear, proactive communication with leadership, partners, and stakeholders, translating technical details appropriately
- Develop documentation, track success metrics, and continuously improve project processes
- 5 years managing software and data engineering projects, with a proven history of delivering complex initiatives end-to-end
- Strong technical fluency: ability to review architectural designs, participate in technical discussions, and troubleshoot technical issues
- 3 years working directly with engineering teams utilizing modern SDLC practices (CI/CD, Git, microservices, APIs)
- Experience managing data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, analytics platforms, or data-intensive applications
- Background in edtech or experience working in nonprofit, social impact, or mission-driven organizations a plus
- Knowledge of data privacy regulations (FERPA, GDPR), security standards (SOC2), and accessibility guidelines (WCAG) preferred
