- Experience (or demonstrable interest) in drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions
- Deposition experience is a plus
- Excellent research and writing skills (Westlaw proficiency preferred)
- Self-starter capable of managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
- Comfortable working under deadlines and handling multiple matters
Responsibilities
- Manage civil litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery
- Take and defend depositions (commensurate with experience)
- Negotiate settlements and prepare matters for trial
- Maintain strong client communication and case management
