Appointment Setter

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Inside Appointment Setter for a well-established commercial cleaning and facilities services company in Cincinnati, Ohio. This is a full-time, onsite/direct-hire opportunity based in Cincinnati. The position offers the opportunity to join a small, owner-led sales team with a high degree of independence, relationship-focused prospecting, and hands-on industry training.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Inside Appointment Setter will focus on outbound prospecting and building relationships with commercial decision-makers to identify future business opportunities. This role is centered on thoughtful, persistent follow-up rather than transactional appointment setting, with success often coming from staying connected until the timing is right. The ideal candidate is personable, comfortable making consistent outbound calls, and skilled at building a long-term pipeline through patience, persistence, and strong organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct consistent outbound calls to prospective commercial accounts and initiate conversations with key decision-makers.
• Build and maintain relationships with prospects by understanding their business needs, contract timelines, and potential upcoming opportunities.
• Identify when prospects' existing contracts may expire or when they may be preparing to go out for bid.
• Establish appropriate follow-up schedules and consistently reconnect with prospects when timing becomes relevant.
• Maintain accurate records of conversations, contract expiration dates, bid timing, next-touch dates, and potential opportunity size.
• Generate qualified opportunities for the sales team while building and maintaining a long-term prospect pipeline.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Relationship-driven and personable, with a genuine enjoyment of speaking with people and building professional connections.
• Comfortable making consistent outbound calls to commercial accounts, with an expectation of approximately 60 calls per day.
• Persistent and patient, with the ability to stay engaged with prospects who may not be ready to move forward immediately.
• Confident initiating conversations with commercial decision-makers without being overly aggressive or transactional.
• Highly organized and able to manage follow-ups, prospect information, and future opportunities with consistency and attention to detail.
