Senior IT Project Manager Role Description
Reporting to the Applications Manager, the Senior IT Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of primarily Business Application and Systems projects. The role requires a combination of technical knowledge, leadership, and project management expertise to manage complex initiatives, coordinate cross functional teams, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This position is critical to implement IT solutions efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and performance, delivered on time, within budget, and with strong customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution: Define project objectives and scope, develop detailed project plans, and track progress against milestones to ensure timely delivery.
Budget and Resource Management: Manage project budgets, allocate resources efficiently, and monitor expenditures to maintain financial control.
Risk and Issue Management: Identify potential risks, implement mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate project teams, fostering collaboration and productivity, and resolving conflicts.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary interface between IT and business functions, providing regular updates to senior management, steering committees, and stakeholders.
Process Improvement: Recommend technology solutions, optimize workflows, and implement best practices in project management.
Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure projects adhere to organizational policies, industry standards, and quality requirements.
Project Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation throughout the lifecycle, including business requirements, functional requirements, technical specifications, interfaces, and status reports to ensure alignment across all participants.
Support, Coaching and Training: Provide guidance to the change network, including super users and key users, ensuring learning curves are effectively managed.
Change Adoption and Proficiency: Assess adoption and effectiveness of changes across the organization in alignment with established change management approaches and methodologies.

Requirements for the Role Education and Skills
- Degree in Business Management, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Experience
- 5 years of project management experience
- 5 years of experience in manufacturing environments
- 5 years of experience delivering application related projects such as ERP, MES, scheduling, or SPC systems
- Project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
- Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, JIRA, Celoxis, or Monday
