Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Client Partner with a strong track record of selling IT services across Federal and State agencies. This role requires 12–15 years of experience in sales, account management, and technology delivery within the public sector. The ideal candidate will bring a consultative approach to building long-term client relationships, driving revenue growth, and expanding solution offerings across AI, Data, Cloud, and Automation.
As a trusted advisor to government clients, the Client Partner will identify opportunities, shape digital transformation initiatives, and collaborate with delivery teams to ensure measurable client success. Experience at leading federal IT integrators or service providers such as IBM, DXC, Accenture, Carahsoft, FRC, or Tier 2/3 players is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Client Management – Build and nurture deep, long-term relationships with Federal and State agencies, positioning yourself as a trusted partner for IT and digital transformation initiatives.
- Sales & Business Growth – Develop and execute strategies to expand revenue, cross-sell, and up-sell AI, Data, Cloud, and Automation services within government accounts.
- Consultative Selling – Understand agency missions and challenges, and propose innovative, technology-driven solutions that deliver measurable business and operational value.
- Technology Delivery Alignment – Partner with delivery and pre-sales teams to ensure seamless solution execution and client satisfaction across large-scale Federal programs.
- Executive & Stakeholder Engagement – Influence agency decision-makers, procurement officers, and C-level executives to drive adoption of transformative IT initiatives.
- Account Expansion – Identify and develop new opportunities within existing Federal and State accounts, while ensuring strong retention and long-term growth.
- Industry & Policy Awareness – Maintain awareness of Federal IT priorities, procurement vehicles, compliance requirements, and emerging trends to provide informed advisory to clients.
Required Qualifications
- 12–15 years of experience in Federal IT services sales, client management, or account leadership.
- Proven experience selling into Federal and State agencies, with a network of established relationships across multiple departments.
- Track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets in competitive public sector environments.
- Strong understanding of AI, Data, Cloud, Cybersecurity, and Automation solutions for government clients.
- Experience managing complex Federal procurement cycles (e.g., GWACs, IDIQs, BPAs).
- Exceptional consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, senior agency stakeholders, and procurement leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience with top Federal IT service providers (e.g., IBM, DXC, Accenture, Carahsoft, FRC) or Tier 2/3 players.
- Background in consulting or delivery of large-scale IT or digital transformation projects in the public sector.
- Knowledge of AI adoption strategies, cloud migration for government, and intelligent automation in public sector use cases.
- Familiarity with FedRAMP, FISMA, and other compliance frameworks.
