Position Description
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Sales Representative to join our SCIENION team USA. This role is crucial in expanding our market presence and driving sales of our ultra-low volume dispensing technologies and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biotech sales, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of diagnostic technologies. This role will predominantly support customers across the northeast with some potential travel to our headquarters in Berlin.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the diagnostic and single cell sectors
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including laboratories, research institutions, industry and healthcare facilities.
- Provide exceptional customer service and support, addressing client needs and resolving enquiries promptly.
- Demonstrate knowledge of SCIENION technology and services and their applications in diagnostics.
- Conduct product presentations, for potential and existing customers.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams to enhance product offerings and strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status using CRM software.
- Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field.
- Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in marketing, sales, or applications within the Biotech or diagnostics industry.
- Strong understanding of diagnostic technologies and laboratory workflows.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Territory: Northeast and Midwest including MA, NJ, ME, VT, NY, NJ, PA, CT, DE, RI, IL, IN, OH, WI, MI, WV, VA, NC, KY, TN
Location: remote within territory, near major airport, preferably near customer base (Boston, Chicago, New Jersey)
