Position Overview:
The Shipping Associate plays a critical role between the company and our customers. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment and loves multitasking.
Duties:
- Pull, pack, and stock shipments of products.
- Identify and document inventory discrepancies or damaged goods, ensuring immediate escalation for resolution.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain 99% stock accuracy.
- Perform final inspections of outbound shipments to ensure items match packing slips and meet company quality standards.
- Uphold facility standards to ensure a safe, organized, and high-performance workspace.
- Maintain excellent service by following organizational standards of quality, and shipping best practices.
- Strategically organize racking and floor space to improve picking flow and maximize storage density.
- Utilize shipping software (e.g., UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, or internal WMS) to generate accurate labels and tracking information.
- Stage outbound orders in designated zones based on carrier and priority levels to streamline the loading process.
- Pack and ship items securely and effectively to minimize breakage.
- Expertly build, wrap, and secure palletized loads using industry standard techniques to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
- Fill all customer orders with accuracy and timeliness. Pack sold items properly and ship in a timely manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems and standard Office software.
- Understanding of shipping documents
- Prior shipping/receiving experience
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
- A can-do attitude and must be on time for scheduled shifts
- Must be able to work as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. consistently and maintain a high level of physical activity, including bending, reaching, and standing for the duration of a shift in a non-climate-controlled environment.
