About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Sitecore Developer with proven experience in the telecommunications and cable services industry. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining customer-facing digital experiences built on the Sitecore Experience Platform (XP or XM). The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise in Sitecore 9.x/10.x, deep knowledge of .NET development, and an understanding of the unique operational and customer engagement needs of large cable or broadband providers.
Key Responsibilities:
Sitecore Development & Architecture
- Design, customize, and extend Sitecore components, templates, renderings, pipelines, and integrations.
- Build scalable, modular Sitecore solutions using Sitecore Helix and Habitat principles.
- Implement and support Sitecore Experience Editor, Experience Profile, and personalization.
- Maintain content architecture, media library management, and multi-site implementations.
- Develop Sitecore functionality and content modules tailored to cable-industry use cases such as:
- Collaborate with product and business teams to understand cable-specific customer journeys (residential, SMB, digital sales flows)
- Build and maintain APIs and integrations with billing systems, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), identity providers (OAuth, SSO, OIDC), and back-office provisioning systems.
- Develop backend logic using C#, .NET Core, REST services, and Azure/AWS services.
- Implement personalization, analytics, and tracking using Sitecore XP and external tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or proprietary telecom analytics).
- Optimize Sitecore for performance, caching, and load management in high-traffic environments typical of cable providers.
- Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to secure coding standards, and enforce best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues related to customer workflows, content publishing, and cloud infrastructure.
- Support CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- 3-7 years of experience in Sitecore development (Sitecore 9.x or 10.x required).
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, MVC, Web API, and front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, React/Angular preferred).
- Experience with Sitecore SXA, JSS/Headless, or Sitecore Experience Commerce (SXC) is a plus.
- Hands-on experience supporting telecom or cable operators (e.g., Comcast, Cable One/Sparklight, Charter, Cox, Rogers, Shaw, etc.).
- Experience integrating Sitecore with large-scale backend systems used in telecom environments: billing, provisioning, identity, and CRM.
- Familiarity with cloud deployments (Azure PaaS preferred).
- Understanding of SEO, accessibility, and privacy/compliance considerations (e.g., PCI if payments are involved).
- Sitecore Developer or Architect Certification.
- Experience with headless Sitecore (Next.js) or Sitecore XM Cloud.
- Experience with enterprise-scale content migrations.
- Background working in Agile/Scrum teams within telecom product organizations.
- Strong communication skills—able to translate technical requirements for business teams.
- Comfortable collaborating with product owners, UX designers, marketing, and analytics teams.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex, multi-system issues under tight production timelines.
- Telecom-specific customer empathy—understanding cycles like move-ins, disconnects, technician scheduling, outages, and promotions
