Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician performs routine vehicle maintenance to keep vehicles safe and operating at peak performance. This includes services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, inspections, and tire mounting and balancing.
Day in the Life
- Complete a multi-point inspection in the first 15 minutes of guest arrival.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services like oil changes, tire rotations, and alignments.
- Assist Lead Technicians with repairs and shop organization.
- Communicate with Service Advisors to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of work.
- Keep the shop organized, clean, and safe while maintaining dealership tools and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, tire mounting and balancing, and vehicle inspections.
- Work toward completing GM training.
- Maintain strong productivity and efficiency while delivering quality work.
- Take ownership of your work, tools, and shop area.
Qualifications
- Entry-level automotive experience or mechanical aptitude preferred.
- Desire to learn new automotive technologies and repair procedures.
- Strong teamwork, reliability, and communication skills.
- Ability to safely operate shop tools and equipment.
