Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs across various construction and renovation projects. Your expertise will ensure that all electrical systems meet safety standards and project specifications, contributing to the success of our diverse projects.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings using blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other testing equipment to diagnose electrical issues
- Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
- Manage wiring for programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial controls, and automation systems
- Collaborate with construction teams on renovation projects and new installations on construction sites
- Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and electrical codes while maintaining a clean work environment
Requirements
- Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings
- Strong knowledge of NEC standards, schematics, blueprints, and low/high voltage systems
- Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and industrial control systems
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, ohmmeters, and other electrical testing devices
- Construction site experience with renovation projects preferred
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and interpret schematics effectively
- Knowledge of frame carpentry or handyman skills is a plus but not required
