Software Engineer Intern

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate on the specification, design, implementation, deployment, and testing of software applications.
• Recommend and implement processes following industry best practices for developing, testing, and deploying software.
• Prepare and maintain design and specification documentation.
• Serve as a technical contact for internal customers.
• Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
• Understand. Create. Simplify.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current student pursuing a degree in computer science or equivalent with at least one year of technical coursework completed

• Ability to work part time during the school year and full time during the summer

• Programming experience in C#, Java or equivalent Object Oriented programming language

• Experience programming in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Cloud Environments (AWS, Azure, GCS), or Functional Programming is a plus

• Experience with design or UI/UX is a plus

• Collaborates in a team environment

• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities

• Excellent writing, documentation, and speaking skills

• Background check results satisfactory to SEL

• Negative drug test result(s)
