The mission of the Schuylkill YMCA's to develop strong children, families and communities across Schuylkill County through fitness and healthy living, academic readiness, character development, and violence prevention. Our membership center, summer camp, school-aged and other programs provides everyone with a safe place to learn, play and grow.

Needed immediately: experienced front-desk/customer service team member for Member Services.

Work hours:
Every Friday (4PM-8PM), every other weekend, Saturday (6:45AM-3PM), Sunday (9:45AM-3PM), and for staff vacation coverage. Schedule will be established and consistent on a bi-weekly basis after training.

Responsibilities:

• Answering calls, greeting members, registration, multi-tasking is done daily.
• Computer skills are a must.
• Occasional lifting to 35 pounds, and ability to navigate multiple flights of stairs.
• Interaction with program participants and assisting other program staff. Discusses and promotes all YMCA programs.
• Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergency procedures.
• Any additional duties as assigned.
• Report any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor or the person responsible for those items at your site.
• Follow all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to managing visitors and guests at our facilities.
• Report any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor.
• Complete all child abuse prevention training as required.
• Support the YMCA’s mission and center operations as needed.

Education:

High school graduate or diploma. (desired)

Certifications/Clearances

• AED/CPR
• Background Checks (FBI Fingerprints, PA State Police, PA Child Abuse)
• Others may be needed when hired
