Custodial Maintenance

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma.
• Demonstrate aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned performance responsibilities.
• Such alternative to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
• Previous history of successful work experience.

Essential Responsibilities:

• To provide a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient place in which to learn and develop.
• Performs repair and maintenance duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities:

• Replaces light bulbs and ballasts.
• Rebuilds flush valves on toilets/urinals and unclogs toilets, pipes, and drains as needed.
• Repairs/replaces door locks, panic bars, and closers, etc.
• Replaces light switches/receptacles and assists with running wire.
• Performs and assists Maintenance Supervisor with carpentry repairs.
• Performs and assists Maintenance Supervisor with tile repairs and/or replacements.
• All duties listed in the custodian job description.
• All other duties as assigned.

Reports To:

• Maintenance Supervisor and/or Executive Director/Assistant Executive Director.

Method of Evaluation:

• Performance of this position will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board’s Policy on Evaluation of Educational Support Personnel.

Pay: From $15.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
