Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately using EMR/EHR systems and ensure proper documentation of patient care activities.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols.
- Provide specialized care for patients with conditions such as Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or behavioral health needs.
- Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques in various clinical settings like hospitals or outpatient clinics.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams in acute care, post-acute care, hospice, or home & community care environments to deliver comprehensive patient support.
- Maintain infection control standards and ensure patient safety at all times by recognizing potential hazards and adhering to safety guidelines.
- Support patients during transfers and mobility exercises using appropriate equipment and techniques to promote comfort and safety.
Skills
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs measurement.
- Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, or behavioral health needs.
- Familiarity with specialized care areas such as ICU, trauma centers (Level I & II), emergency medicine, or post-acute settings is advantageous.
- Ability to perform medication administration accurately and safely while maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards.
- Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary healthcare environments.
- Ability to work independently while following established protocols for patient safety and quality of care.
