The Utility role performs a variety of manual labor tasks, assists with material handling, and is responsible for accurately cutting metal materials to customer specifications using industrial saws.
Essential Functions
- Perform general labor and support tasks including material movement, shop cleanup, and equipment maintenance.
- Set up and operate industrial saws to cut metal stock (e.g., steel, aluminum) according to work orders and customer specifications.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts, pallet jacks.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Collaborate with warehouse and production teams to meet daily workflow and delivery schedules.
- Load trucks as needed, including material handling, packing, wrapping, and routing of shipments.
- Must be able to apply mathematical concepts in order to: read a tape measure and calipers, comprehend decimals and fractions, perform other calculations.
- Must have working knowledge of using and understanding to use hand tools such as Allen wrench, screwdriver, and others to switch out saw blades.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

- Perform other related duties as assigned.
