SUMMARY
Implements the use of training programs, policies, and procedures to standardize work methods and increase efficiency. Conducts training of employees on a daily basis and offers assistance to the management team to create advancement for team members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Capable of creating a positive learning environment, conveying objectives clearly, encouraging and motivating trainees.
• Work 85-90% of shift on the shop floor to implement training requirements.
• Communicate effectively through hands on training, verbal training, and presentations. Document results when required.
• Evaluate learning outcomes and report feedback to the shift supervisors to assist in building a development plan.
• Must have ability to self-motivate and work without direction, as well as coordinate with cross-functional teams to complete daily responsibilities.
• Maintain familiarity with various training techniques, use of company LMS, and proper procedures. Navigate company database systems.
• Maintain significant knowledge of how to run machinery and be able to conduct training for a variety of positions. May advance or refresh skills through the running of machines if necessary.
• Participate in Onboarding and retention process.
• Leverages interpersonal and leadership skills to foster a positive workplace culture that supports employee engagement, collaboration, and long-term retention.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

• Perform other related duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 1 year of experience leading, developing, training teams with culturally and linguistically diverse populations in a courteous and effective manner.
- At least two (2) years of experience in manufacturing including CNC experience, plate/extrusion saws, or other forms of fabrication.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Routinely required to stand and walk; use hands to handle and feel; reach with arms and hands; as well as climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Routinely lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
- Specific vision requirements include depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to wear all necessary safety equipment.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
- Routinely work in a noisy (company-provided hearing protection is required) and non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Able to work in an environment where lock-out/tag-out is a standard safety practice.
- Routinely work in environment with gas-powered and other forklifts and machinery.
