Job Duties And Responsibilities
- Oversee all daily operations of the waterpark to ensure a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for guests
- Manage, train, and supervise waterpark staff, including attendants, lifeguards, maintenance, and guest services teams
- Develop and implement safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Monitor and enforce water safety and guest conduct rules to prevent accidents and injuries
- Coordinate maintenance and repairs of waterpark equipment, facilities, and landscaping
- Prepare and manage budgets, control expenses, and optimize resource allocation
- Handle guest complaints and feedback promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Plan and oversee special events, promotions, and marketing initiatives to increase attendance and revenue
- Conduct regular staff meetings, training sessions, and performance evaluations
- Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, maintenance, and finances
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and regulatory agencies as needed
- Ensure emergency response plans are current and staff are trained on their roles during incidents
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology, and best practices in waterpark operations
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Recreation Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- 3--5 years of experience in waterpark, amusement park, or recreational facility management
- Proven experience in staff supervision, safety compliance, and operations management
- Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard Training preferred
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management
- Strong background in customer service and conflict resolution
- In-depth knowledge of waterpark operations, safety regulations, and emergency response procedures
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for guest relations and staff supervision
- Ability to develop and enforce policies and procedures effectively
- Proficiency in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation
- Skilled in staff training, performance evaluation, and conflict resolution
- Familiarity with maintenance and repair of waterpark equipment and facilities
- Ability to analyze operational data and implement improvements
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal safety regulations applicable to waterparks
- Competence with scheduling software and basic computer applications
