Overview:

Schrepple Construction, LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Sheet Metal HVAC Foreman to lead commercial HVAC installations from project setup through completion. this position plans field operations, directs crews, coordinates fabrication and materials, maintains schedules, and ensures safe, high-quality installation in accordance with the contract documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise commercial HVAC sheet metal installation and assigned field crews.
  • Review and understand drawings, specifications, addenda, RFIs, approved submittals, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Identify conflicts, missing information, and constructability concerns before installation begins.
  • Perform accurate material and equipment takeoffs; order, receive, inspect, and track materials.
  • Prepare fabrication-grade drawings, field measurements, sketches, and layout information for the fabrication shop.
  • Coordinate duct routing, equipment, supports, sleeves, openings, and installation with other trades.
  • Set up projects, including manpower, site logistics, material staging, equipment needs, layout, and work sequencing.
  • Create and maintain overall and short-term schedules, including look-ahead plans and production goals.
  • Track labor productivity, project progress, daily reports, time records, and field documentation.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, general contractors, inspectors, vendors, and trade partners.
  • Ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, approved submittals, codes, SMACNA standards, and company quality requirements.
  • Conduct safety meetings and enforce company, OSHA, and jobsite safety requirements.
  • Support inspections, testings, punch-list completion, startup activities, and project closeout.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum six years of Commercial HVAC sheet metal experience, including at least three years as a foreman.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial ductwork fabrication, installation, layout, and coordination.
  • Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, material submittals, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Ability to perform complete material takeoffs and prepare clear, accurate fabrication-grade drawings.
  • Demonstrated experience setting up projects and developing, updating, and maintaining construction schedules.
  • Strong leadership, planning, organization, communication, and crew-productivity skills.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and ability to pass a background check.
  • Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Computer & Technology Skills:

  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, email, cloud-based construction platforms, and electronic project documents.
  • Ability to use PDF drawing and markup software such as Bluebeam.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Experience with construction scheduling, documentation, and field-management programs.
  • Ability to learn and use additioinal software required by the company or project.

Preferred Experience:

  • OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.
  • Experience with BIM coordination and electronic plan-review software.
  • Experience on large commercial, industrial, healthcare, semiconductor, or mission-critical projects.
  • Experience coordinating ductwork with piping, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and structural systems.

Pay: $62,620.62 - $75,414.08 per year
