Position Title: Division of Nursing Work-Study
Department: Division of Nursing
Reports To: Director of Undergraduate Nursing
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Student will assist in administrative activities for all nursing directors and program managers (VN, BSN, MSN). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, organizing files, coordinating, and expediting purchase orders, and other administrative functions as necessary. The student will be one of the faces of the department and will work in the division offices, answering phone calls and collaborating with faculty and nursing leadership on assigned projects that facilitate the smooth functioning of nursing administration.
The student will participate in coverage of open lab days/hours in collaboration with the SIM/SKILLS lab coordinator, faculty, and nursing leadership. This student will also collaborate with the SIM/SKILLS lab coordinator to set up student activities in the lab as needed for check-offs and training.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Reception and phone coverage in the division offices
- Administrative duties such as maintaining files and ordering office supplies
- Coverage of Open Lab days/hours at least 1-2 times per week.
- Collaborate with the Sim/Skills lab coordinator to set up student learning activities
- Collaborate with the Sim/Skills lab coordinator in maintaining, ordering, and organizing lab supplies.
ADDITIONAL REQUIRD EXPECTATIONS
Other responsibilities that are within the scope of a nursing student may be assigned at the discretion of the nursing leadership team.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
- Be enrolled as a full-time BSN nursing student at Schreiner University.
- Computer skills
- Administrative experience is preferred
- Office 365 experience and competency
- Good communication and people skills
