Local Ace Hardware Store, Rental Center, and Outdoor Power Equipment Repair Shop.

Schreiner Ace Hardware is looking for an experienced Outdoor Power Equipment Technician to help repair Stihl power equipment, sale OPE parts and maintain the store’s rental department. Must be able to work Monday-Wednesday till 8:30pm and Saturday till 6:30pm.

Job Function:

Repairs and maintenance work on customer and/company owned outdoor power equipment and rental items.

Responsibilities:

• Performs basic/complex equipment diagnostics and determines what repairs are needed.
• Performs basic/complex equipment repairs
• Participates in all job-related training and development.
• Prepares shop tickets and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
• Maintains current product knowledge of Stihl and competitive products.
• Performs pre-rental and delivery inspection on rental equipment as required.
• Maintains a clean and safe working environment and performs job duties with a good attitude.
• Order and maintain Stihl power equipment department
• Sell Stihl power equipment.

Requirements:

• 1 years of experience performing Stihl or other OPE repairs.
• Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools and techniques used in the repair of outdoor power equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and systems.
• Experience in related field
• Skilled in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be computer literate.
• Maintains current knowledge of Stihl and competitive products
• Maintains condition of vehicles, inventory, tools and equipment
• Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
• Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Possess good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. and work bent over repeatedly.

Pay is based on EXPERIENCE and Certifications. We offer competitive pay, training, and health insurance as well as paid time off and paid Holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
