Results-driven and goal-oriented Excavation Foreman needed!

We're Schreiber Excavating, a leader in commercial and industrial construction, and we're hiring a hands-on leader to join us full-time and ensure our field projects go off without a hitch. Based in Ontario, NY, you'll earn $35.00 - $39.00/hour to reflect your experience and qualifications. Exact schedules vary based on project needs, but you'll typically work between the hours of 6:30 am and 6:00 pm for 50 - 55 hours per week.

Your Day Could Include

• Overseeing daily site operations and coordinating with suppliers/subcontractors/project managers to keep jobs on time and within budget
• Setting daily production goals and proactively coordinating materials, equipment, and schedules for each project
• Leading concrete, grading, excavating, and underground utility activities while ensuring all crew members comply with OSHA regulations and safety standards
• Setting up and using equipment like GPS systems and lasers
• Operating heavy equipment like excavators, dozers, loaders, etc.
• Interpreting and following blueprints and technical drawings
• Preparing and submitting accurate timecards, tickets, change orders, and production quantities
  
  

Excavation Foreman Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has over 10 years of construction experience, but it's not required. Experience as a foreman (or similar leadership position) would also be beneficial! What you definitely need is:

• 5 years of sitework experience, either as a laborer or equipment operator
• Experience with GPS grade control and layout
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Ability to accurately read and follow blueprints
• Ability to stay focused, organized, and motivated throughout the day
• Strong foundation of civil construction knowledge
• Excellent leadership, communication, and documentation skills
• Drive to meet goals, perform quality work, and achieve great results
