Internship Overview

The Retail Insights Analyst Intern will support the Retail Insights team in analyzing retail performance data, developing client-facing reports, and helping identify key trends within retail environments. This internship provides hands-on experience working directly with the Director of Retail Insights and broader analytics team, gaining exposure to real client reporting, retail analytics platforms, and business strategy in the consumer goods industry.

The intern will assist in compiling retail data, creating visual reports and charts, and contributing to commentary used in client presentations. This role offers a unique opportunity to learn how retail insights drive decision-making for clients and customers while collaborating with multiple teams across the organization. This internship will be 8 weeks long.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing retail performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and key insights.
• Support the development of client-facing reports and presentations using charts, dashboards, and data visualizations.
• Work closely with the Director of Retail Insights to help develop reporting commentary and summarize findings.
• Gather and organize key store photos and field data to support retail reporting and presentations.
• Assist with building custom reporting projects and data missions used to support client objectives.
• Collaborate with team members involved in reporting automation and data systems.
• Support data analysis and report requests from team members based on client priorities.
• Work on GoSpotCheck reporting and data questions as needed.
• Help review retail data for accuracy and assist in troubleshooting reporting issues when they arise.
• Participate in team meetings to gain exposure to retail strategy, client communication, and reporting processes.
• Learn how retail insights support business development, category management, and client decision-making.
• Gain exposure to retail analytics and consumer goods industry reporting
• Learn how data is translated into insights for clients and customers
• Develop skills in data visualization, reporting, and analytics
