School of Rock is a growing, passionate community dedicated to enriching lives through performance-based music education. With over 350 schools, and a strong internationally recognized brand, School of Rock is the largest after-school music education provider in the world. We put on shows to teach music. We are looking for a Summer Camp Instructor to join us at our School of Rock West U location.
Our Summer Camp Instructor embodies rock and roll in a positive way and is responsible for creating the most valuable student experience possible. This role creates a safe and inspiring environment for students to achieve their musical and creative potential and ensures that each School of Rock student has an exceptional musical journey.
Availability to work 9am-3pm summer camps for the full week (Monday-Friday).
Camps are held the week of June 6 - the week of August 22. (can be flexible to miss 1 or 2 weeks)
Roles And Responsibilities

Roles And Responsibilities
- Facilitate the daily activities of the camp and manage the progression of each student. This includes running a rehearsal room and providing individual instruction when needed.
- Report daily progress to the Camp Director and inform them of any issues with any students, songs or casting decisions.
- Help run the camp theme of the week by managing the students both on and off the stage.
- Create an inclusive environment and manage student behavior. Camp Instructors should immediately report any major issues to school management.
- Help get new students excited about joining a seasonal program at School of Rock.
- 4 years experience teaching and/or working in a camp setting.
- Knowledge of music theory and curriculum design
- Excellent ability to deal well with a wide range of customers and other people
- Strong organizational skills
- Very strong customer relations skills
- Resourceful and good problem-solver
- Works well under pressure
- Ideal candidate is a working musician (actively gigging, recording, or playing in a band)
- College level music training/education helpful
- Enthusiastic, flexible, patient, and positive demeanor
- Good judgment a must
Salary : $15 - $16
