Vocal Instructor – School of Rock West Hartford

School of Rock West Hartford is looking for a Vocal Instructor who’s passionate about helping students discover their confidence and creativity through music. Our performance-based approach combines private instruction with live performance, giving students real-world music experiences that build skill, teamwork, and self-expression.
What You’ll Do
- Teach and inspire students of varying ages and skill levels
- Lead private lessons and group rehearsals in our performance-based program
- Encourage, motivate, and build confidence in every student
- Collaborate with staff and instructors to create an engaging, safe, and inclusive environment
- Attend and support student shows and community events
- Communicate regularly with families and the School of Rock team to ensure a great experience
You’re a Fit If You
- Are an experienced musician, vocalist, or performer (depending on role)
- Have prior teaching experience (preferred) or are eager to learn our proven methodology (training provided)
- Are patient, organized, and energetic in the lesson room
- Communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues
- Thrive in a fun, creative, and fast-paced environment
Schedule & Pay
- Part-time, flexible hours — afternoons, evenings, and weekends
- $18–$25/hour, depending on experience and capability
