What are the responsibilities and job description for the School for Early Learning Teacher position at School for Early Learning?
The Sandwich Public Schools is searching for a Toddler Teacher for our School for Early Learing (SEL), a year-round preschool. This is a full-time, year-round position.
Reports to:
Director of Early Learning
Qualifications:
- CPR/AED and First Aid certifications preferred
- Evidence of physical examination within last 12 months
- Immunity for measles, mumps, and rubella
- Ability to create and sustain a culture of excellence and work and thrive as part of a cohesive team
- Ability to lift/move heavy equipment and clean when necessary
- Preschool or toddler teacher/assistant teacher experience preferred, EEC background desired
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and ensuring a safe, healthy, and constructive environment for all children involved in the program
- Understand and ensure EEC regulations as well as School for Early Learning policies are maintained at all times
- Implementing the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations and School for Early Learning policies
- Manage daily activities as well as classroom arrangement, appearance and overall learning environment
- Act in a public relations capacity when communicating with parents and school personnel
- Act as a positive role model
- Maintain attendance records and all necessary reports
- Attend mandatory training sessions and all SEL staff meetings.
COMPENSATION: $20.00 - $24.00/hour based on experience and certification.
