JOB SUMMARY:
Provides support, training, coaching, and mentoring to build teacher capacity using EMLSS to increase student achievement and to develop and implement quality services for students who need additional academic support.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides support, training, coaching, and mentoring to build school and teacher capacity to increase student achievement using the District EMLSS model.
- Provides high quality instruction to individual students and small groups.
- Develops and implements quality services for students who need additional academic support.
- Provides education interventions and progress monitoring for students who need support in reading, writing, and math.
- Facilitates grade level/PLC meetings at the school level to review student progress and assign/dismiss proper student intervention. Use data to provide instruction to students and to bring their skills to grade level.
- Provides leadership around data-based decision making and best practice with effective Tier 2 and 3 supports.
- Collects and analyzes data to inform instructional decisions at the building and classroom levels.
- Uses identified research-based interventions focused specifically on individual student needs.
- Collaborates with district and school administrators, individual teachers, and teams of teachers at assigned school(s).
- Assists classroom teachers and other instructional staff in developing strategies, skills, tools, techniques, and capacity to effectively teach all students.
- Creates schedules for student support that ensure students do not miss core instruction, including small group instruction (reading and math) with their classroom teacher/peers.
- Collaborates with special education teachers as part of creating a continuum of services.
- Provides data to school teams and participates in decisions about student progress.
- Assists teachers with monitoring student progress in ways that inform teaching and motivate learners.
- Assists with identifying students for placement in intervention groups.
- Maintains documentation of continuous monitoring of student performance and progress.
- Supports implementation of assessment tools and data management systems.
- Communicates with teachers, administration, and families regarding student progress.
- Participates in meetings with teachers, administrators, and families to discuss student placement and progress.
- Provides input for program development.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting and displays strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates a willingness to become an active contributor to the school culture and our continual school improvement process.
- Supervises students during the assigned workday if needed.
- Collaborates with all other EMLSS teachers and district level coaches and works as a team to meet professional development needs and goals.
- Attends professional development with coaches and administrators to continue learning and refining interventions and data analysis practices.
- Performs other duties as assigned by Administration.

- Effectively plans, coordinates, and manages programs and services consistent with the established guidelines, policies, and procedures.

- Uses professional knowledge to implement a variety of services for targeted learning communities.
Professionalism
- Demonstrates behavior consistent with legal, ethical, and professional standards, contributes to the profession, and engages in professional growth.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Elementary Teaching license from Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI).
- Three (3) years of experience teaching.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Special Education license from WI DPI.
