The School District of Onalaska is accepting applications for a full-time Director of Information Technology.
Position Summary
Provides leadership, planning, management, and support in all areas of information technology for the district. Performs responsibilities necessary to accomplish objectives as set by the Director of Finance and Business Services and the District administrative team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- A minimum of five years of experience managing an information-technology department and staff is preferred. Experience in a K-12 academic institution is preferred (but not required).
- Experience with Windows workstation and ChromeOS in a network environment, Windows Server and Active Directory, and Google administration.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hardware and software troubleshooting skills and problem troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated excellent skills in oral and written communication, leadership and the ability to communicate and train staff with technical information on a non-technical level.
- Demonstrated success with the implementation and management of local and wide area computer network environments and enterprise resource planning.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic planning initiatives, manage multi-year budgets, and solve complex technical challenges.
- Expertise in the critical evaluation and lifecycle management of district-wide hardware, software, and applications.
- Must be organized and able to work with detailed records.
- Such qualifications as the administration may find appropriate.
