What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer STARS Targeted Services Coordinator - Elementary position at School District 197?
- Reports to the Minds in the Middle Administrator.
- Select/develop curriculum and materials appropriate for the program.
- Coach teachers and paraprofessionals in delivering the program.
- Recruit and recommend teachers and paraprofessionals for the program.
- Sit in on interviews.
- Schedule program, staff, and students.
- Notify teachers of program criteria.
- Coordinate student selection and registration.
- Communicate with families regarding the program.
- Arrange for food.
- Reserve rooms with Community Education and coordinate other facility needs as appropriate.
- Coordinate volunteers.
- Develop Continual Learning Plans (CLPs).
- Support the Summer STARS Administrator manage student behavior and discipline.
- Organize and coordinate transportation.
- Organize and coordinate technology.
- Ensure students are counted and paperwork is submitted to the appropriate departments.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Three years of experience teaching
- Current teacher license.
- Knowledge of the district curriculum.
- Knowledge of effective remediation programs.
- Knowledge of Minnesota's laws and guidelines governing Targeted Services.
