Description: The Title 1 Teacher is responsible for providing targeted instructional support to eligible students in reading and mathematics, as identified through assessment data and Title 1 program criteria. This position focuses on helping students achieve academic success by delivering high-quality, evidence-based interventions and collaborating with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to support student progress.Job Summary: Plan and deliver targeted reading and math instruction to small groups of students or on a one-on-one basis.Utilize data-driven instructional strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.Collaborate with classroom teachers to support curriculum alignment and ensure instructional consistency.Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessments; maintain accurate records of student achievement.Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student progress and program effectiveness.Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and staff meetings to support school-wide goals and initiatives.Adhere to federal, state, and local Title 1 program requirements.Qualifications: Required: Valid New Hampshire Teaching Certification with appropriate endorsement(s) in Elementary Education or Reading/Math Specialist.Proven experience in providing instructional interventions in reading and/or math.Strong understanding of Title 1 regulations, guidelines, and compliance requirements.Preferred: Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds and varying academic abilities.Familiarity with evidence-based intervention programs and progress monitoring tools.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Working Conditions: Full-time position within Richards School, serving students in grades K-5.Primarily works with students in small group or one-on-one settings, both within and outside the regular classroom environment.Collaboration with colleagues, administrators, and families to support student growth and achievement.Participation in school-wide initiatives and professional development activities.Application Procedure: Apply Online: Complete the online application through the Newport School District's employment portal.
