Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Roofer to join our dynamic construction team, AS well as laborer positions. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of roofing systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help ensure the durability, safety, and aesthetic appeal of roofing structures while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects that challenge your craftsmanship and technical skills.

We are mainly a commercial roofing company, in need or skilled and labor positions.

Responsibilities

Materials: TPO, Asphalt Shingles, Tile, PVC, KEE, Torch-down, Fluid applied coatings.

• Measure and assess roofing projects using blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine materials needed and installation procedures. (foreman and leads) not for labor positions.
• Install new roofs using a variety of materials including asphalt shingles, metal panels, tiles, and membrane systems.
• Repair or replace damaged roofing components, ensuring proper sealing and weatherproofing through caulking, flashing, and other techniques.
• Operate hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and pry bars as well as power tools including nail guns, drills, and saws to complete roofing tasks efficiently.
• Conduct site preparations including framing, metal stud framing, masonry work, or concrete forming as required for specialized roofing applications.
• Read blueprints and schematics accurately to follow project specifications precisely.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials like shingles, tiles, or metal sheets safely while maintaining proper ergonomics.
• Assist with restoration projects involving stucco or other exterior finishes related to roofing structures.
• Collaborate with team members on construction estimating tasks to ensure project budgets align with scope of work.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards throughout all phases of roofing projects.

Experience

• Proven experience in construction site environments with a focus on roofing installation or repair. (preferred but not required)
• Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings related to roofing systems. (preferred but not required)
• Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in roofing and general construction tasks.
• Knowledge of various roofing materials such as asphalt shingles, metal panels, tiles, membrane systems, along with associated techniques like caulking and flashing.
• Background in related trades such as carpentry (including trim carpentry), masonry, plumbing, welding or remodeling is advantageous.
• Experience in heavy lifting and working at heights safely on rooftops or scaffolding.(not required but must be comfortable at heights)
• Skills in fabrication or metal stud framing are beneficial for specialized roofing applications.
• Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics accurately for precise project execution.(preferred but not required)

Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
