Position Summary
Operate digital printing equipment to produce accurate, high-quality print jobs. This hands-on role involves preparing files and materials, monitoring multiple machines, checking output, and meeting production targets.
Responsibilities
- Review job orders for quantities, paper specifications, colors, and special instructions.
- Set up print files and operate Canon, Xerox, and ColorStream 3900 equipment.
- Load and unload paper stock and keep supplies available for scheduled jobs.
- Inspect samples during print runs and make or report needed adjustments.
- Monitor multiple machines while maintaining print quality and production speed.
- Complete job paperwork and follow quality, safety, and ISO 9001 procedures.
- Perform basic equipment troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 years of digital printing experience, including 3 years operating cut-sheet toner and inkjet printers.
- Basic computer skills, including opening, closing, and printing files.
- Ability to read a ruler and other measuring devices.
- Ability to read job tickets, communicate clearly, solve routine problems, and work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Ability to stand throughout the shift, excluding breaks, and occasionally lift 40–50 pounds.
