We are looking to add an IT Technician to join our team. The IT Technician is responsible for providing technical support, troubleshoot issues, and maintain hardware, software, and network systems. This role ensures efficient operations by addressing help desk requests, resolving technical problems, and supporting system updates with the opportunity to expand on the role to provide higher levels of support.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, troubleshoot and maintain software, computers, printers, peripherals, network hardware (cat5e/6, switches, routers, and IP cameras), ensuring seamless daily operations and minimal downtime for employees.
- Manage and monitor the help desk ticketing system, responding promptly to support requests, troubleshooting issues, and escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Create, update and manage user accounts, ensuring appropriate access permissions and security settings across systems and applications.
- Collaborate with the IT team to develop and refine IT policies, processes, and best practices, offering input to optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
- Assist with equipment purchasing, including computers, servers, peripheral and software, ensuring that all acquisitions meet company needs and budget constraints.
- Stay current with emerging technologies, continually learning about new IT trends and tools, and making recommendations on how to integrate these advancements to improve workflows and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all installations, configurations, and IT related procedures to ensure consistency and clarity for future reference.
- Prepare detailed reports and updates to management and customers as required.
- Provide user training on new IT systems, software, and technologies, ensuring employees are equipped to use tools effectively and efficiently.
- Travel to other distribution centers as required to provide on-site support and assistance.
- Performs other related duties, including special projects, as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment.
