The Innovation – Digital Grid Division has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to fill the role of Regional Account Executive. This position will be responsible for managing sales accounts and building long-term relationships for an assigned number of existing and prospective electric, gas, and water utility users within specific accounts. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Help promote the Geographic Information System (GIS), Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) and Distributed Energy Resources Management System (DERMS) and services to the utility industry and business partners. 
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the clients’ needs for GIS, ADMS and DERMS Solutions, and other enterprise applications and processes, and then help meet those needs with Schneider Electric solutions, as well as partner, technology and services. 
  • Retain and grow existing accounts while prospecting new accounts.
  • Achieve annual sales quota
  • Provide internal sales support to the supporting departments and work closely with the proposal team.  
  • BS in business management, engineering or related degree
  • >5 years account management and sales experience
  • Utility sales experience desired
  • Software Solution Selling experience
  • Knowledge of GIS, ADMS and/or DERMS solutions required
  • A desire to help organizations and individuals use our technology to improve their businesses and compete successfully in the marketplace
  • Ability to travel (up to 50% of the time)
  • The ability to generate competitive strategies
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Strong work ethic
