What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medium Voltage Product Specialist position at Schneider Electric?
The Medium Voltage Product Specialist conducts thorough analysis of simplification projects to assess feasibility and measure impact as well as develop solutions in support of the product roadmaps. The Product Specialist is a technical expert for the product line understanding the capabilities in manufacturing and project engineering processes as well as the current product offer.
Key deliverables:
- Participate in project support activities including but not limited to project scope definition and impact measurement criteria; content testing validating Bill of Materials and Drawings.
- Coordinate monthly project status and issue resolution reporting for ETO product lines.
- Provide investigation and resolution support for reported engineering/manufacturing issues.
- Translate product roadmaps into executable projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- Experienced in the design, applications, and/or installation of MV Gear (Utility design experience a plus)
- Knowledge of 2D and/or 3D software. (PTC Creo, Windchill PDM, ACAD, SEEXP, ACE Test).
- Thorough knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal codes/regulations and interprets and applies industry standards (UL, ANSI, NEC) to new designs.
- Strong project management skills
- Accountable, self-motivated, and proactive
- Solid and pragmatic problem-solving skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills to work collaboratively with remote teams and management.
- Ability to work in a culturally diverse workplace with people from a variety of backgrounds, cultures, and beliefs.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience
- This position is located in Mount Juliet, TN or the Nashville HUB.
