What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Schneider Electric?
- Organizes and maintains materials necessary for manufacturing product.
- Primary responsibility involves movement (physical and transactional) of production material from one location/process to another.
- Administrative and physical tasks in the stockroom, fab whse, paint and assembly areas as required.
- Pick and pull of materials using standard operating procedures.
- Maintain inventory accuracy levels by proper use of inventory transactions and documentation.
- Responsible for the issue of material and floor stock replenishment, cycle counts, material put away/pull.
- May be backup to other warehouse/production areas as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent with 0-2 years material handling and/or warehouse experience
- Familiarity with computer applications a definite plus
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Forklift experience preferred.
