Format Print Operator

What will you do?

The Large Format Print Operator is responsible for day-today print production and cutting on an Arizona Flatbed Printer and Colex Flatbed cutter. This position is accountable for processing incoming requests for printed copies of Print On Demand products for Schneider Electric customers. Processing requests entails interpreting the request, printing in the appropriate established method, and shipping the final product to the customer.

• Ensures requests are responded to in a timely manner to meet the requested “Ship By” date and time.
• Using computer systems, processes the request and prints the content requested using the equipment provided and the methods preferred.
• Tracks all job information in a central database.
• Works as part of a team to accomplish the daily print run.
• Becomes competent in the fulfillment of printed deliverables, the operation of a high-capacity CD / USB duplicators and the large format scanner and printers.
• Other additional clerical type duties as assigned.
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work standing up to 8 hours per day.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced and noisy environment (company supplied hearing protection may be required)

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing department job tickets, managing workflow to ensure all orders are completed on time, and consistently meeting customers’ expectations while maximizing machine efficiency.
• Producing rigid and roll signs and banners, custom finishing including lamination, mounting, and trimming.
• Properly using and maintaining all department tools and equipment, managing machine logs and coordinating maintenance and repair calls with vendors.
• Preparing large format signs, banners, and display graphics for shipping and delivery; creating custom packaging when necessary.
