We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Intern to support our ongoing Finance Transformation initiatives for Summer 2026. What will you do?
Finance Transformation & Process Improvement
- Assist in evaluating existing financial processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct data analysis to understand trends, root causes, and performance gaps.
- Support the design, documentation, and rollout of improved processes, tools, and dashboards.
- Benchmark best practices and assist in developing recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.
- Partner with Finance teams (FP&A, Accounting, Costing, Plant Finance, etc.) to gather insights, understand pain points, and build improvement proposals.
- Coordinate with other business functions as needed to collect data or validate proposed improvements.
- Work directly with the CFO to support strategic finance transformation initiatives.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost–benefit analysis, and scenario modeling for proposed changes or projects.
- Prepare presentations, executive summaries, and analysis to support leadership decision‑making.
- Assist in creating visual reports, performance trackers, and dashboards for monitoring transformation progress.
- Help maintain documentation of process changes, standard operating procedures, and project plans.
- Hands-on experience working on high-impact finance transformation initiatives.
- Direct exposure to senior leadership, including the CFO.
- Practical skills in financial analysis, change management, and continuous improvement.

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present findings effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI or similar analytical tools is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Interest in process improvement, digital transformation, and modern finance tools.
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or process‑optimization concepts.
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Acumaticaor similar).
- Prior internship or project experience in finance or data analytics.
- Must be able to work onsite in the Buffalo, NY area
