Engineering Intern (Summer 2025)

Motivair by Schneider Electric has a new opportunity for an Engineering Summer Intern based in Buffalo, NY. As a Summer Engineering Intern at Motivair, you will gain hands-on experience in various engineering projects and support our engineering team in developing and improving our products and processes. This internship will provide you with valuable insights into the engineering field and an opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

What will you do?

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of engineering projects.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to troubleshoot and optimize operating issues.
• Support the Production and Maintenance Departments with incident investigations and troubleshooting.
• Participate in activities such as mechanical equipment design, inspection data analysis, and root cause failure analysis.
• Create equipment layout drawings to optimize materials flow in operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate and capture priorities and changes.
• Assist in the development and organization of Turn-Over-Packages.
• Contribute to process improvement projects and production equipment troubleshooting.

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $22.00 - $27.00 per hour. In
addition, this position is eligible for overtime pay and may also include premium pay or differentials,
depending on location.

The compensation rate for this position is for candidates located within the United States. Individual pay
is determined by several factors including knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant
education or training.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Previous internship or co-op experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with validation and testing processes.
• Experience in technical writing (reports, test protocols).
