The Strategy Intelligence Lead is responsible for architecting, scaling, and operationalizing the centralized Market, Competitive, and Customer Intelligence capability within the Strategy organization. You will set the strategic vision for how intelligence informs planning, investment, and growth—and lead a team that turns fragmented signals into integrated insight platforms. This role requires someone who is equally skilled in executive communication, strategic modeling, team leadership, and cross-functional orchestration.

    • Customer Insight Syntheses
    • Strategic Insight Packs for ELT and Board
  • Serve as the strategic liaison between Intelligence and:

    • Finance, Product, Sales, and Marketing
  • Build and mentor a high-performing team of 4-6 analysts and managers
  • Own relationships with external research vendors, tools, and benchmarking sources
  • Create a structured knowledge base, taxonomy, and insight repository for the organization.

Qualifications

  • 6 - 10 years of experience in strategy, market intelligence, consulting, or enterprise planning
  • 5 years of experience of understanding of the Electrical technology and equipment industry, including key players (Eaton, ABB, GE, Siemens, Vertiv, Honeywell), market dynamics and business drivers.
  • Experience navigating diverse sales channels (direct, distributors, system integrators).

  • Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguity into action and frameworks
  • Advanced executive communication and storytelling skills
  • Strong grasp of market modeling, scenario planning, and competitive strategy
  • Familiarity with external data sources (e.g., NEMA, John Burns, IDC, CapIQ, McKinsey, etc.)

Success Factors

  • Strategy org and executive leaders routinely rely on intelligence deliverables in key decisions
  • A regular cadence of MI deliverables is embedded in enterprise planning and comms cycles
  • Insights evolve from ad-hoc response to proactive, predictive guidance
