What are the responsibilities and job description for the Application Development Engineer position at Schneider Electric?
This position joins the Power Systems North America Engineering Data Industrialization Team. The team focuses on utilizing the end to end data created during a Power Systems Equipment Project lifecycle to enhance quality, productivity, and capacity in the Power Systems Engineering and Production processes.
Location: Nashville, TN office, hybrid schedule
What will you do?
- Establish and maintain data pipelines for measuring IMPACT of team initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, sprint demos with development team members.
- Improve and maintain C# applications deployed in production facilities in NAM.
- Develop tools and solutions to enable rapid prototyping of innovative technologies.
- Adapt third-party solutions using plugins.
- Register and maintain records in Schneider's Software Technology Asset Management System.
- Refactor existing tools and solutions to ensure compatibility with technology changes.
- Identify opportunities for new initiatives.
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Engineer degree or related degree
- Proficiency in SQL, C#, Python, Revision Control Software (GIT), Jira, Jupyter Notebook, and Databricks.
- Experience with cybersecurity policies and app certification process
- 3-5 years of experience in application development.
