Parts Manager

About the Role:

The Parts Manager at Jack Schmitt Ford, Inc. plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the service department by overseeing the inventory and distribution of automotive parts. Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience in parts management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of automotive parts, inventory management, and operations management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in business or a related field.
• Experience with automotive aftermarket parts and service department operations.
• Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems.
• Experience with Ford Parts preferred. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the parts department, including inventory management and parts counter activities.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure timely ordering and receiving of automotive parts and accessories.
• Train, supervise, and evaluate parts counter staff to ensure high levels of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve parts sales and profitability while managing costs effectively.
• Collaborate with the service department to ensure that all necessary parts are available for repairs and maintenance.
