Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases, ensuring a positive shopping experience
- Operate the cash register accurately, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with confidence
- Manage retail sales transactions efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy in retail math calculations
- Provide product demos when needed to inform customers about features and benefits of merchandise
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays to ensure the store remains organized, attractive, and well-stocked
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Handle cash drawer balancing at the end of shifts and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
- Support merchandising efforts by organizing products according to store standards and promotional plans
- Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers and team members
Requirements
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm is key!
- Familiarity with POS (Point of Sale) systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, enabling better service for diverse customer bases
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude
