The Landscape Mechanic is responsible for performing advanced on-site diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance on commercial landscaping equipment. This role requires strong mechanical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a safety-first mindset. The Landscape Mechanic plays a critical role in minimizing downtime, maintaining fleet reliability, and supporting field operations.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial lawn mowers and two-cycle equipment, including string trimmers, edgers, and backpack blowers
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system issues
- Maintain service vehicles, trailers, tools, equipment, and shop inventory in safe and working condition
- Support seasonal parts inventory planning, stocking, and organization as needed
- Accurately track time, materials, and parts used for repairs and maintenance
- Complete all required documentation and work orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Follow all safety rules, regulations, and company policies while performing work assignments
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

Position Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record per fleet insurance standards
- Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening
- Ability to consistently lift, push, pull, and move up to 75 pounds
- High school diploma or GED
- Demonstrated ability to operate commercial lawn equipment and related tools
- Expert knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in equipment and vehicle repair

Work Conditions
This position may require local travel as operational needs demand. Work schedules may vary and require flexibility, including extended hours. During snow operations, availability may be required during nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves working outdoors in varying and sometimes extreme weather conditions, including rain, snow, sun, heat, and cold.
