Position Summary:
As a Truss Builder at Scherer Bros. Lumber Co., you will play a vital role in constructing roof and floor trusses to meet customer specifications. This position requires strong attention to detail, a team-oriented attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and assemble trusses according to blueprints, plans, and engineering specifications.

• Operate various tools and machinery, such as saws, drills, and pneumatic equipment, to cut and assemble truss components.

• Ensure all products meet quality control standards and customer specifications.

• Work closely with team members to maintain a productive, organized, and safe work environment.

• Assist in the maintenance and organization of the work area to ensure efficiency and safety.

• Comply with all safety protocols and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to read blueprints or plans.

• Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

• Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials, and stand for long periods of time.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.

• Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic.
