Position Summary
We’re looking for a friendly, knowledgeable Budtender to join our growing cannabis retail team. As the first point of contact for our customers, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional and compliant shopping experience. From guiding product choices to supporting day-to-day operations, your work helps ensure our store runs smoothly, safely, and successfully.
Applicants with prior cannabis retail experience or an active Individual Identification Card (IIC) in Maine are strongly encouraged to apply—these qualifications allow for a faster onboarding process.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Sales
- Provide every customer with a welcoming, professional, and informed experience.
- Educate guests on cannabis products, including strains, formats, effects, and consumption methods.
- Assist customers in choosing products that best fit their needs.
- Ensure a positive, compliant, and customer-focused retail atmosphere.
Compliance & Regulations
- Check valid identification and verify age per Maine state law.
- Follow all state regulations and company policies related to sales, packaging, and purchase limits.
- Help maintain a safe, secure, and compliant retail space.
Inventory & Merchandising
- Restock shelves, rotate products, and maintain clean displays.
- Assist with receiving shipments and updating inventory records.
- Notify management of low-stock items or discrepancies.
Store Upkeep & Operations
- Keep the store clean, organized, and professional throughout your shift.
- Sanitize high-touch areas and equipment regularly.
- Complete opening and closing tasks as directed by leadership.
Teamwork & Communication
- Work collaboratively with coworkers and supervisors.
- Stay up to date on promotions, policies, and store goals.
- Support smooth shift transitions and consistent service delivery.
Qualifications
- Must be 21 (required).
- Active IIC (Individual Identification Card) strongly preferred.
- Previous cannabis retail or traditional retail experience valued.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift products as needed.
- Evening and weekend availability strongly preferred.
- Access to a laptop or internet-connected device helpful.
- French or Portuguese language skills a plus.
