On-Site Project Timekeeper – Southern Wisconsin
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable On-Site Project Timekeeper to support a long-term construction project located in Southern Wisconsin. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability, competitive compensation, and the opportunity to work as part of an established construction team on a large-scale project.
This position is responsible for the accurate tracking, verification, and reporting of employee labor hours for both union and non-union personnel on an active construction jobsite. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, construction payroll/timekeeping experience, and the ability to work effectively with field supervision and craft employees in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and process daily and weekly time records for field employees and subcontractors
- Verify labor hours, job cost coding, and employee classifications for accuracy
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and payroll personnel to resolve timekeeping discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, overtime, and shift schedules
- Prepare and submit weekly labor reports and supporting documentation in a timely manner
- Support union reporting requirements and compliance tracking as needed
- Maintain organized electronic and hard-copy project records
- Ensure compliance with company policies, labor agreements, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Assist with onboarding documentation, badging, and workforce tracking for project personnel
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for timekeeping and payroll-related questions
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction timekeeping, payroll administration, or field office support preferred
- Experience working with union labor is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to communicate professionally with field personnel and management teams
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information
· Must be able to successfully complete a background check and drug test

Schedule
