Position Summary
Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine, manual mills, drills & lathes; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintain equipment and supplies.
Position Responsibilities
- Operation Machines (power-up/down, hand-wheel functions.
- Tooling (Setup, wear analysis and stock handling.
- Setup (Fixture plate, magnetic base, vice tools, edge finding and axial indicating.
- Organization (keep area organized that work is being performed in on any given day.
- Inspection (Responsible for in process inspection using some or all of the following equipment).
- Micrometer, caliper, telescoping gauge, dial indicator, axial indicator, Fabravision
- Programming (Editing G-code programs and creating, modal/non modal, sub programs, loop, delay)
- Troubleshooting (Spindle orientation, error handling and tool change interruption fix).
- Maintenance (Coolant, chip conveyor, spindle oil, way oil and filters).
- May work at different workstations as production needs require.
- Accurate Log In and Log Out from Jobs and Operations.
- All other duties assigned.
